Did you see the article in People magazine that featured the locations visited during George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s fairytale romance? Destinations that are truly the epitome of romantic travel. We wondered what it would be like if one of our amazing clients here at Travel Leaders in Chesterfield MO followed the same itinerary. Where would they stay? What would they do while they were there? Hey…we can dream, can’t we?
Take the journey along with us, and if you see one or more romantic travel destinations that trip your fancy, give your St. Louis travel agents a call at 636.778.1081. We can get you there.
October 2013 – London, England
Who doesn’t feel like royalty in England ? So much history to discover everything from castles to Roman ruins, Stonehenge to Shakespeare. We are guessing George and Amal received the royal treatment while visiting.
December 2013 – Los Cabos, Mexico
Unfortunately Hurricane Oddile did some pretty serious damage to beautiful Cabo, but no doubt it will be rebuilt quickly and better than ever. Such a beautiful location with the famous El Arco rock formation where the dessert meets the ocean. We can only guess the happy couple visited their own home (which is right next door to Cindy Crawford and Randy Gerber) or perhaps they vacationed at the spectacular One & Only Palmilla.
February 2014 – Washington, D.C.
What do you suppose they did in Washington DC? Visited the Capital? The Kennedy Center? The Smithsonian?
The Seychelles are like a completely different world. There can’t be a better location for two famous people to leave the rat race and relax. This remote location is made up of 110 islands in the Indian Ocean. Not easy to get to but well worth the trip. We pictured them at the Banyan Tree or Four Seasons, but they stayed at North Island. How romantic that must have been!
March 2014 – New York City
The City that Never Sleeps hosted the beautiful couple at the posh Carlyle Hotel in the Upper East Side.
April 2014 – Los Angeles, CA
May 2014 – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Clearly a favorite of theirs and a good place to getaway from the press.
May 2014 – Venice, Italy
June 2014 – Lake Como, Italy
George owns a home in Lake Como called Villa Oleandra. A portion of Oceans Twelve was actually filmed here.
July 2014 – Florence, Italy
Makes sense the original Renaissance man would visit the birthplace of the Renaissance.
August 2014 – London, England
So much to do and see in London. Now you can add the Mr. & Mrs. Clooney to that list. Rumor has it that have been looking for a home here.
Just a boat ride away from Lake Como, the couple often visit the Grand Hotel here for dinner. A great meal and a lot of romance for these two while they did some wedding planning on this trip.
September 2014 – Florence, Italy
Plenty to see, so why not visit more than once within four months.
September 2014 – Venice, Italy
Venice is a small extremely concentrated and intimate city; every corner, monument, Church or museum contains a piece of history. What a spectacular place to host a wedding.
October 2014 – Seychelles
Off to the honeymoon! Reports say they chose the location on a recommendation from Brad Pitt. It appears to be the same location Prince William chose to honeymoon with his then new bride, Kate Middleton. Not bad company…and believe it or not, regular people like us can go there too!
If you want to trek the same journey or just a piece of the journey traveled by George and his lovely wife, give us a call at Travel Leaders in Chesterfield. Various clients of ours have been to all of these locations and we were thrilled to help get them there. Whether you live in Wildwood, Chesterfield, Ellisville, Town & Country, Eureka, Ballwin, Manchester or even Chicago, we can get you to any of these romantic travel destinations!
